Overview
Our society faces with excessively declining population and diminishing competitiveness. The Graduate School of Sustainable Community Studies aims to create new value by collaborating the specialized knowledge of university with the practical knowledge of local communities to cope with such difficult situations in rural areas.

Major: Sociology, Engineering
The Department of Sociology and Engineering for Sustainability, Safety, and Resilience in Communities fosters advanced specialists who can co-create new value for “sustaining society.” This Department aims to cultivate (1) comprehensive viewpoints, which will be acquired from working with experts from different disciplines and communities, and (2) high-level capability to solve problems through the utilization of the expertise knowledge in sociology or engineering.

Industrial Innovation Science: Agricultural Science and Business Administration.
Major: Agriculture, Business Administration
The Department of Agricultural Sciences and Management for Sustainable Innovation and Economic Growth fosters advanced specialists who can co-create new value for “revitalizing the local economy.”
This Department aims to cultivate (1) comprehensive viewpoints, which will be acquired from working with experts from different disciplines and communities, and (2) high-level capability to solve problems through the utilization of the expertise knowledge in agriculture or business administration.
